You could buy the chassis or make your own, some had 390, some early Hemmis; no door handles or side trim; you picked your bumpers, steering wheel, dash; There are no parts/doors available Cars have no trunk; a 2 piece windshield was used. This car has a running gear, and windshield; Very unusual car, body is good.
1940 Mercury Convertible
60,000 Mercurys sold the 1st 3 months; 1940 features: 1 st Ford column shift; 196” bumper to bumper; had plush interior; modern straight-line speedometer; sound proof; 16” dish rims; sway bars; vent windows on doors; sealed beam head lights; automatic top; wider than Ford 54” wide; The car ran 8 years ago; Packard grill; Lead molded rear fenders; All convertible top hardware is there; No rust on floor;
